ASME@WAU Music Festival is co-organized by The American Society of Musical Excellence and Washington Adventist University.

Montgomery County will partner with the American Society of Musical Excellence and Washington Adventist University to hold the ASME@WAU Summer Music Festival, as part of the Montgomery County and Xi’an Sister City Project.

ASME@WAU application fees are waived for all AVIMC music competition participants in 2026 and previous years

The final round of the 2026 American Virtuoso International Music Competition will take place on July 19, 2025, immediately following the ASME@WAU Music Festival.

1. All AVIMC participants in 2026 or previous years will waive the ASME@WAU application fee.
2. Winners of AVIMC in 2025 or previous years are eligible for a scholarship of $200.
3.  Participants in the previous AVIMC Winners Recital are to be awarded a scholarship of $300.
*Note: The above three scholarships cannot be combined simultaneously.

College Transferable Credit Offered

2022 ASME@WAU has announced that Vladimir Valjarević, Silvan Negruțiu, Qing Li, Preston Hawes, Philippe Chao, Dan Zhang, Gran Wilson, Kyle Engler, Stephen Czarkowski, Susanna Mendlow, Adria Sternstein Foster, David Jones and Lyric Brass Quintet (Larry Williams, Andrew Spang, Kevin Dines, Gerald Jones, and David Dochterman) will be faculty members this year.
