ASME@WAU Music Festival is co-organized by The American Society of Musical Excellence and Washington Adventist University.
Montgomery County will partner with the American Society of Musical Excellence and Washington Adventist University to hold the ASME@WAU Summer Music Festival, as part of the Montgomery County and Xi’an Sister City Project.

Welcome to ASME@WAU Music Festival for this summer festival: July 13 – 18, 2025
ASME@WAU application fees are waived for all AVIMC music competition participants in 2025 and previous years
The final round of the 2025 American Virtuoso International Music Competition will take place on July 19, 2025, immediately following the ASME@WAU Music Festival.
1. All AVIMC participants in 2025 or previous years will waive the ASME@WAU application fee.
2. Winners of AVIMC in 2025 or previous years are eligible for a scholarship of $200.
3. Participants in the AVIMC Winners Recital are to be awarded a scholarship of $300.
*Note: The above three scholarships cannot be combined simultaneously.

College Transferable Credit Offered

Bravo 2042 ASME@WAU Music Festival!
The 2024 ASME@WAU Music Festival concluded on a high note, showcasing an inspiring blend of education, collaboration, and extraordinary performances. Over the course of the festival, participants immersed themselves in a wide array of sessions, including advanced improvisation techniques, in-depth music theory workshops, and cutting-edge music technology discussions. The program was enriched by masterclasses, personalized lessons, and insightful seminars led by a distinguished faculty.
Each evening, the festival came alive with mesmerizing recitals featuring both faculty and participants, creating unforgettable moments of musical brilliance. We are deeply grateful to all the students, performers, and faculty members whose passion and commitment made this festival a resounding success. We look forward to continuing this tradition and reuniting with our talented music community in the years to come!

The 2022 ASME@WAU Music Festival concluded on July 25, 2022, after a series of enriching sessions focused on improvisation, music theory, and music technology, complemented by lessons, masterclasses, and seminars. Each day concluded with captivating recitals by both faculty members and participants. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants and faculty for their dedication and contributions to the festival. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reunite with everyone in the future!
